Hi, I'm Alexandra.
When I was 15, I spent a summer studying French in Paris — my first solo international trip and the spark of my insatiable wanderlust. Through Paris, I fell in love with a deeper kind of travel: immersing myself in foreign cultures, getting to know the locals and the language, devouring the local foods until my jeans no longer fit, and learning what made the city tick.
In the years that followed, my thirst for adventure brought me on four-month solo backpacking trip around Rwanda and Uganda; a journey along the Trans-Siberian Railway; safaris in Morocco and Sri Lanka; a live-aboard to dive in the coral reefs of Indonesia’s Komodo Island; and (a crowd favorite) a life-changing solo trek across Nepal’s Annapurna Circuit . . . just to name a few.
Despite having traveled to over 60 countries, I still have a bucket list a mile long. My guess is you do, too.
In 2018, I left my law career in corporate America, sold everything I owned, and bought a one-way ticket to Bali, Indonesia where I’ve lived ever since.
I’ve since built a blogging and content creation business, The Wayfaress, that inspires others to pursue their own adventures around the world, and to embrace the challenges, the beauty, and the people encountered abroad.
Across all my stories, you’ll find one common thread: a desire to be known and to know the world around me. To be real and honest, and to take the tougher, messier roads that lead to meaningful connections and deep personal growth. I really hope you’ll come along with me on that life journey.
When I’m not traveling or working from my computer in a cafe in Bali, you can find me doing a HIIT workout or yoga, scuba diving, cooking up a new recipe in my little kitchen (curries are my favorite), collecting new artwork for my travel-centric gallery wall, drinking a coconut on the beach, or sharing beers with friends at our favorite local brewery.
